I am so glad the snow has shifted, I have been so bored – I kid you not, I’m four seasons into Gossip Girl, four coffees down, i’ve taken at least forty selfies, and I’ve still been bored. So I was so excited when Lucy Rachael nominated me for The Sunshine Blogger Award.
Thank you so much Lucy.
I really love reading Lucy’s blog and I really enjoyed her recent post following her nomination for The Sunshine Blogger Award, so here goes the questions she asked me.
What is your favourite thing about blogging?
My favourite thing about blogging, that’s a hard question. I love having a place to ramble on about all the things I love, hate and care about, but I also love being part of the blogging community. I’ve met some of the loveliest people, all with such different stories to tell, it’s so interesting and I just love it.
Who is your style inspiration?
My style inspiration, hmm. I wouldn’t say I have one style inspiration, I really enjoy taking inspiration from all different people and places.
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
Read, period. I am such a bookworm, I’d read all day, every day if I could, but of course, I rarely have the time. If I didn’t have to sleep, that would be 6/7 extra hours I could spend reading. Bliss.
What fictional universe would you like to live in?
A fairytale, straight up. I wish I was a princess with long shiny hair, running around in cute dresses with a complete hottie who is sure to be a prince.
What’s the last book you read and what did you think of it?
The latest book I read was The Rosie Effect, this was after I read The Rosie Project, by Graeme Simsion. I thought it was completely genius. He portrayed the main character perfectly and by the end I felt like he was a friend. I’m not even slightly surprised that this book has won awards, I’d highly recommend.
What’s your drink of choice?
Tea is the dream. It fixes everything. But I also live off Vimto and as for the alcohol it has to be Ginger Beer (Crabbie’s is the best).
Would you rather have a night in or a night out?
Either. I love a night out because I love music and I love dancing, but being cosy is my favourite thing in the entire world, so I struggle to imagine a better way to spend a night than snuggled up on the sofa.
Best type of takeaway?
AH, panic. I love food. I think I’m going to have to go with either thai or chinese, they always have so many vegetarian/vegan options so I get lots of choice.
What topic could you talk about for hours?
Dogs. I am a complete animal lover and if someone wants to talk to me for 18 hours about their dog then I’m all ears.
What is one lesson you’ve learned this year?
A lot has happened already this year in the life of Jaime from which I’ve learnt some really valuable lessons, but if I had to choose one it’d be to take care of the people who take care of you. Good people aren’t disposable and I am incredibly guilty of forgetting this sometimes.
If you could be besties with any blogger, who would it be?
Oh I’m not sure actually, I’d happily be besties with any blogger, they’re all fab.
